I was recently informed about at 1988 9000T (auto) with 25K miles (yep 25,000 miles) being sold for about $2000. My friend took a look at the car and said it was in imaculate condition (body and interior). The car was not able to start at the time due to drained battery. It was noted that there were signs of a leak under the car. Not sure how much or what was leaking. The car supposedly belonged to an older guy who didnt drive it much. Now it is on a "used car" lot. I'm not sure if it is an "official" dealer. Only a few cars were reported to be on the lot. I am skeptical about a car this old with so few miles, but am interested. I have a 1990 900SPG but do not have much experience with the 9000Ts.

Is it realistic to have a "leak" from a car with so few miles? Could it be dry rotted gaskets (which ones)? What would be the best way to check out this car (any particular things to look for?). If it is confirmed that the mileage is correct, are there any recommendations and must do (changing gaskets, etc.) to get the car running correctly? Any suggestions would be apprciated.
