Thinking of taking the plunge again....

Hey folks, I just found this BBS and it seems great! I'm a former 9KT owner and I'm thinking about becoming one again. My old car was a '90 with an automatic, that I bought a few months after I graduated from college in '96. It had coolant and oil leaks, rust along the rockers, and several dents and dings. But it did handle really well, ran like stink, and I could put a whole futon in the back without too much difficulty. I got rid of it in '97 because I was constantly terrified of something expensive blowing up. It had the tell-tale coolant smell of a blown heater core, but when I switched the ACC to Recirc it would go away.
So six years later and four cars later, I know tons more about working on cars, and have my own garage and an extra supportive wife. Hence a 9000 doesn't scare me as much now. Plus I've still got a roof rack in my garage from the first car! I'm considering '92 to '95 turbos, only in a 5spd. I know to avoid the traction control. There's someone selling a '92 in Denver (where I live) with 127K and he wants $6500. This seems like about $2K more than it's worth. Plus it's got the TCS which I'm trying to avoid. There's another in the paper listed at $5000 that I may look at.
In the meantime, I've been reading all the previous posts to reacquaint myself to the car. It reassures me very much that so many people are into DIY with these cars, and that you can easily buy parts and performance enhancements. I'd be happy to hear advice that anyone has to offer, but I'm mostly just excited to find plenty of car nuts loving 9000's. I'll keep you posted if I end up getting a car.
