– it must be done on purpose to protect the transmission, and perhaps to prevent premature, unnecessary down-changes. In real-life driving the characteristics of the valve and transmission seem well enough matched in my car. Mind you, my turbo only boosts up into the start of the broken yellow section, but then it stays there all the way up the rev range and doesn't back off. Once again, this sounds like standard behaviour with Trionic doing its job. I did have to adjust my base boost after fitting the JT system. Didn't think of any of this when offering the valve!
Sounds as though you will have to beg, borrow or steal a solenoid valve from a manual Aero to complete this part of your troubleshooting. However, if I were a betting man, I would put my money on a faulty ECU, because it seems other people on this board have cars more powerful than yours without encountering the same problem.
