Sorry didn't answer sooner. Didn't look at the end of lists till today.
Next time it dumps and you would normally have to kill and restart to renew it's function try the #2 fuse in glove box, that should do same as killing key / ign switch.
Mine goes on strike and its temp. dependant. I can either blast it with heat to melt my feet for a few minutes or chill the air down and it will resume working but in a strange way. When mine quits and then is avaible again it has no memory, I have to do a new set input to enable operation. I have to pull the module out and I'll bet you a couple of your best local beers that I am going to find more cold solder joints as we have discussed so many times in the lamp monitor assembly (tall skinny orange) in the headlight fuse relay box of the engine compartment varity.
All CC wiring is of the 600 family numbering.
There should be no loss in the memory of the set point until loss of power to the module by the ign being switched off or until a new set point is input.
Vac pump in aquarium. 1 and 2 have voltage applied from control module 6 & 7 and grd is on 3 of pump and 1 of module. Vac valve is next to control module near steering column.
Manual tran.= F2 glove box also powers stalk Resume On Off and Set switch.
Auto tran.= F9 powers stalk switch after going thru selector sw on gear selector so it only operates in fwd gears.
Speed sensor is on back of instru. cluster and will have battery on one side of pot, grd on the other end and the wiper of the pot feeds speed reference to module on pin 11.
Does any of this help? Any bad solder pads? If they were the same manufacturer as did the filament monitor the chance is high.
