My 2p's worth:
They all appear to have the same Bosch part number stamped on them. However, on the ones I have seen, there are two letters stamped on the body. This seems to indicate some state of modification.
My valve ('96 manual Aero) is stamped "XF" and looks as if the "W" port has been enlarged by passing a drill through it, compared to the one I borrowed from Bill Davies (Bill, was this from your '93 CSE auto?), which was stamped "XK" and all the ports appeared to have the same internal diameter. Both valves had a brass restrictor in one port (the top one, I think), but I can't remember offhand which port that is ("C"?). Is this the orifice you mention?
Using the "XK" valve on my car in place of the "XF" caused slower spool-up, but maximum boost was the same. Different wastegate characteristics on the Mitsubishi and Garrett turbos perhaps?
