...as you may (or may not) recall, there were some issues with the car...a few leaks here and there, brake pads below 1/2, an air check valve being a tad noisy, etc. The dealer from whom I bought the car (New England Imports, China, Maine) fixed them all (as best I can tell anyway!), and charged me under $50 for all of it...labor included. He did well by me, I think. I'm sending a friend to him tomorrow in return. Hopefully he'll be a good person for her to do business with as well.

I like my '94 9000 a lot so far! I haven't had any of those nightmarish issues I read about on here, of course...head gasket, fuel pump, etc., and I'm hoping I never will, but at this point anyway, I really like the car. And it is a car with over 100,000 miles on it, after all.

The guy who owns the local health food store here in town saw my car and said it LOOKS real nice but he's heard nothing but HORROR stories about the entire line of 9000's. Nice thing to say to a lady who just bought one, huh? Says his mechanic told him that if someone gave him a 9000 free and clear to say "thank you" and sell the damned thing FAST. TOld him they're nothing but trouble.

To that hogwash I say Bah HUMBUG. I'm so fond of my new Saab I'm interested in developing a hobby of learning these things like you guys know them and tinkering with Saabs for fun. :)

My friend is trying out a '94 convertible (Turbo, 90k) tomorrow afternoon. Hope it's a good one for her, too!
