Alignment Mystery Solved (long)

Hi All,
At the beginning of the winter I slid my 94 Aero round a corner and into a curb. Didn't seem like a hard hit at the time. Little bit of a scuff on one wheel seemed the biggest problem and it needed an alignment. Problem was, after two alignments the steering would still drift. Had the control arm checked, tie rods, strut bearings, wishbone bushes changed (good excuse for Abbotts!) to no avail. Talking with Giles at Abbott he thought I might have stretched or chipped a bearing in the steering. When my local indy pulled the rack it turned out the main casting was broken in two. Guess I've found the alignment culprit! I still find it hard to believe that such a minor hit would cause so much damage.
