also the filter and the expansion valve. Over the years I've accumulated all the tools. Yes, it was a 7 piston Sanden. (will retrofit if you have the older style).Good post between Skippy and Robert on doing it youself. One thing I liked about the airparts compressor was it came already drained so I didn't have to worry about what kind of oil was in it and no HAZMAT shipping charge. One thing I always look for is re-MANUFACTURED vs. re-BUILT. Over the years I have found re-built to be just "fixed" while re-manufactured can be better than new cause they upgrade parts they see failure trends on.
I priced all the parts to be-do one myself and the parts added up to more than the compressor. Not having a spare I wanted it fixed ASAP so I would have needed to order all wear parts, or risk fixing something to have something else break.
