I hate to be flippant, but your decision should rest on how much you hate your engine.
Yes, the solvent would drain through, and yes, some would remain in the engine. Even if none remained, you would want to strip down your engine to put rebuild grease on all of the bearing surfaces so you wouldn't have damage at start-up.
What were you hoping to accomplish with the solvent? Do you have clogged oil passageways in your cylinder head?
