Check Engine light on a 1990 9K Turbo, help...

Hello guys, new Saaber here. Got a 12 year old 9K Turbo for my son last month and runned great, but now I am baffled... Saturday I had an oil change and a hose replaced (Head to Heater Core 'Inn hose that leaked at the head). The 9K has 133K miles and a bit tired but great for a 17 year old freshly licenced driver. As soon we started it up, after my mechanic replaced the oil, filter and hose, the Check Engine light went on. The mechanic promptly disconnected the battery and reset it. All went back to normal but after driving it for about 10-15 minutes the light came on again and kept doing the same. Every 10-15 minutes after starting. it comes on and does not shut off until the engine is turned off. Mechanic is baffled too (not a Saab guy but pretty good), I am too. No limp mode home either. This morning, after searching and reading the forum, I checked the flash codes and got 5 (five) flashes. Short than going to a Saab dealer and paying a fortune, any ideas? I was thinking about some sort of a vacuum leak, since he disconnected a large hose to get behind the firewall... not sure which one though, I just caught a glimpse of what he was doing... Any suggestions will be appreciate.
