Replacing O2 sensor on 93 Aero

Howdy. I am getting 6 flashes then 7 flashes on my check engine light on my 93 Aero. O2 sensor and fuel air mix per Townsend. Before taking for ISAT plug in an hour away, I was going to change O2 and plugs. I have seen posts about generic Bosch PN 13942 as will as one from 5.0 mustang and VW, saving some cash over SAAB.
Is there a suitable swap for Trionic cars? Also, I usually have trouble finding NGK plugs in my area. What do you guys recommend? If NGK, 6's or 7's? And what is the diff between resistor type and non?
Thanks for any input!
