The rubber is bonded into the housing. By far the easiest way is to take a blowlamp to it and set the rubber on fire, or some people have put the whole thing in a fire (loop some wire throuth the centre tube so you don't lose it).
I used a vice to press the bushes in. Just make sure that the bush has nowhere to go when it wants to move sideways.
Tapered end goes to the rear on both standard and SuperFlex bushes.
