If the shifter moves with accel. and decel. by gas pedal, the motor is moving around. I don't know why it would only happen in 3rd gear. Drive at about 25mph and press and release the gas pedal somewhat radically. If the shifter is moving alot, you got some weak new upper motor mounts. The 9000 has always have quite a bit of movement even with fresh mounts. Some people stick bicycle innnertupe it the slots of the upper mounts to reduce the travekl of the mounts. I have also seen "solid mounts from eeuroparts.com. There is also a stiffening kit in the "parts classified" here at TSN.
