Hi,
I have an 86 with 186,000 and it does not burn oil. in my experience with SAABs (older ones) they seem to spring leaks, out of every place imaginable, but the rings seems to be ok on most of them. If you want some money, you can part it out. In my humble opinion if you have no interest in owning an 87 this is the best way to make the most money. The parts for these cars are still in demand (I mean, I want them still).
Of course for such brilliant advice I surely deserve a pair of front seats for a low low cost...well like I said, just kidding.
