Headlight wipers spring loaded... problem is...

I've been getting my new car in order, a few things here and there.
I just temporarily fixed the leaky washer bottle with zipties, the hoses are so old they don't hold against the pump's pressure. So I ziptied around the hose and pulled it as tight as I could right over the connection.
My newest problem is the headlight wipers, which go back and forth and spray like they are supposed to, but the spring the holds them against the light is disconnected. So effectively they aren't doing anything. I tried to hook the spring back to where it's supposed to go (I think it is anyway) but the pin looks like it broke off.
Anyone retrofit a fix or do I have to get a new piece (or a junkyard piece)
Thanks in advance
Matt
