Well, I was hoping to make a nice happy report about installing Koni's and Abbott springs on my 98 CSE. It already had the the Aero springs and sway bars from the factory. I bought a set of the Koni's, Abbott springs, and wishbones. Had them installed two days ago by K&N in Ann Arbor (nice guys).
Had the rears set to softest setting and then turned back 1/2 turn. Same on the fronts. Very stiff and very loud. All of the road imperfections are being felt and heard. It handles great but after reading some of the positive reviews here about this combination, I am very disappointed. Is there a breaking in period? If so, how long and is it to any great extent? What is causing the noise, the shocks, springs or wishbone? What about the stiffness, shocks or springs? I set the fronts to the softest setting and this helped a little but not much. Wish I had never changed a thing at this point. Any kind words of advice would be greatly appreciated.
