New rear bushes are quite cheap, if you can do them yourself (I think my OEM ones were £10 each from an independent Saab shop). They're not hard to do, although you'll want a wheel alignment afterwards.

I have a 3" JT exhaust system and my Aero had the restrictive heatplate fitted from the factory, with the associated higher boost to restore the power, so removing the heatplate has added a bit more power. I expect it's putting out around 240hp.

Yes, I'm in the UK. Reading Saab, the dealer who supplied my Aero new (I've never been there, though), are a Hirsch dealer (*the* UK Hirsch dealer?) and they do a stage 1 upgrade for the Aero with 260hp and 390Nm (287lbft). It costs £921 ($1350), though. That is just the ECU. They don't replace anything mechanical.

For your car, their stage 1 gives 230hp 360Nm (330Nm for the auto), again for £921. Prices don't include fitting (1 hour!!! I suppose they have to test-drive it, though).

My Maptun ECU, although it relies on having installed the JT 3" exhaust which I have, claims 275hp, 450Nm (330lbft) and cost me £380 ($550). Maptun give a 90% discount on the software part of any further upgrades, once you have purchased an ECU upgrade from them. (Come on, Royal Mail, hurry up...)

Their equivalent for your car, with no mechanical upgrades, produces 247hp and around around 440Nm torque. It costs £420 (just realised mine was cheaper - must be because I bought the JT exhaust from them).

If you don't mind me asking, how much did your upgrade cost?
