Hi all,
Check this out. Today when driving with my beautiful girlfriend the car stopped in (of course) a really busy intersection. I got a push from some nice people that stopped to help me. A puddle of ATF is on the wet pavement creating pretty rainbow. Looking at the front, the radiator for the ATF is on the ground mangeled. The ATF that is located under the regular rad was apprently fastened (and I use that loosly, all pun intended) by plastic ties. After swearing at the previous owner for a while, Sarah's (the woman) father came with some ATF and I drove home.
Of course, my question is How bad is this? I have heard that fluid changes on an AUTO tranny often result in full failure in 3 months. Is this true? Was the tranny (which is brand new BTW) damaged by the incident? Do I need the rad or can the noses just be connected? Finally Can I use the regular Oil cooler which I have an extra of instead, I mean the are both meant for cooling oil and are almost the same size?
Best Regards
Roman
