Preventative maintenance:
Brake fluid and coolant should be flushed every two years (OK, stretch it out to three at most). Brake fluid is usually ignored, but considering the importance (and cost!) of brake components, it's cheap insurance. If the thermostat is more than two years old, replace it - it's a moving part, and they do wear out.

Useful stuff to get - the Haynes manual for the car. Not great, but good enough. Also go to the dealer, or try some of the mail-order dealers on the BB, for the Electrical Supplement for the 9000 for 1992. There is no single factory manual; just a lot of individual manuals on different sections (brakes, engine, tranny, electrical) for different years. That's the bad news. The good news is that the individual manuals are excellent, and the electrical supplements are the best manuals I've ever seen. Since many problems are electrical, get one. The '92 will cover all models (CD, etc) and all markets.

Other stuff-
Window - a bad switch is very possible - remember, there are three switches involved - one in the center console, one in the door, and a switch in the console to lock out the door switch. The wiring goes through them all. The electrical manual will be very useful here. If worse comes to worse and it's the motor, they're available from junkyards.

Other stuff-
Two very useful websites:
WWW.townsendimports.com - go to the technical documents area. Tips on fixing most anything that can go wrong.
http://quasimotors.gar.net/ - Quasi's page. Not as complete as Townsend, but fills in many of the gaps.

Cruise control - many possiblities, usually just a mis-adjusted pedal switch. See Townsend, specificially http://216.78.172.244/electrical_system_folder/cruisecontrol.htm

Clutch pedal - lots of possiblities, but the clutch and brakes use the same fluid. Flushing/bleeding the system may fix this.

Seat heaters - very common, usually very easy to fix. See Quasi for this one (plug - I contibuted to this writeup).

Wheel coming off - maybe just the screw came loose. If so, there's a good chance the plastic may be stripped. If so, it's junkyard time. There are two adjustments - one for seatback angle, the other for lumbar. I've seen the lumbar wheel break, and it usually does so inside the seat. Fixable by removing the seat cover (not that hard).

Welcome!
