Ride height (at least at the front) is a function of the bottom perch distance from the center of the axle and installed spring length. I would think that all stock or aftermarket struts would have the bottom perch in relatively the same location; thus assuming an equal spring length, stock ride height would be maintained. The trick setup would be to go to a coil-over strut with an adjustable perch position using a threaded sleeve. In that way you could use a short spring but be able to maintain shock travel distance while lowering ride height. But I have not read on this site anyone who has done that on a SAAB.
