Only certain Saab models are head turners in my opinion -
'91 and '92 turbos, when clean and shiny, certainly are. I know this because I drive a '91 turbo and it turns heads everywhere I go, even in Boston. Those years have a unique look and are relatively rare. I get very many compliments on my car from both men and women, young and old. People who don't know Saabs often think the car is much newer, I've had people guess '94 or '95 more than a few times.

Other head turners (assuming they are clean and shiny)-
All of the Aero models from '93 on (including the 9-5).
The 9-3 viggen.
Older 900 SPG models.
Any 900/9-3 convertible.

These cars are sexy!

Remember that the Saab 9000 is STATISTICALLY one of the safest cars ever made. Safetywise, you will not come even close with a Jaguar or Range Rover. Plus Saabs have the most confortable seats in the business.

Don't buy a Range Rover unless you intend to drive it off-road. Otherwise it offers absolutely no advantage over a Saab; its just wasteful and stupid. I know MANY people, of all ages and backgrounds, who DESPISE SUVs as a matter of principle. I don't really despise SUVs per se, I just can't stand the people who own them for image reasons, in order to conform to current trends. "It's better in the snow." doesn't cut it in my opinioin. There's nothing sexy about hypocracy and excess.

Besides, in order to truly hate a Saab, you have to own one first. :)

There is no doubt about it, the Jaguar is a SEXIER car than a Saab. Simply put, Jauguars are beautiful to behold and exude an elegance and classiness that most other cars just can't touch.

Jaguars and Saabs are similar in that around Boston, I rarely see spoiled college kids driving them. They are generally more adult oriented vehicles.

OK...that's enough...

Enjoy your Jaguar!
