...it's still there, and pi**ing me off just as much. I need to contact Autoglass again, as I had to cancel my last appt. with them due to work commitments. They said they needed the car in to do "tests"...
I mentioned it to Saab, who confirmed that there was excessive noise when I last had it serviced. I haven't tried the nose on the windscreen trick, but may later...! I can't pinpoint the noise, but it sound like it's coming from top an bottom edges. Having watched the guy fit the new screen, I can say that he was very careful bonding and placing it as near as damnit centrally, but I suppose if it is slightly out, it could make all the difference. Sounds very similar to your sensation - as though a window is fully closed.
I may just have to pull my finger out and sort it now.
Cheers,
Zip
