To be honest,I don't know why you need to remove the reservoir.
I'm looking at a 93 and a 97 right now. The 93 have a quick connector in the false fire wall that you unscrew, and I think that 94 and up have this elephant trunk looking thing in the false fire wall that you unscrew and pull the whole wire harness out through the hole.
Anyway, if you look at the back of rerservoir, between bracket and reservoir, you see a little plastic tab ( part of reservoir ) you need to use a screwdriver blade and push on that tab while lifting reservoir.
I always sink the engine/tranny down on the ground on three floorjacks together with the whole subframe.
