If you do get this done, have them drain the oil and re-fill with 10W30 fossil, not synthetic. Certainly make sure they don't put the new Saab synthetic manual transmission oil in. It appears to eat synchros, and Eriksson Industries, which rebuilds a lot of these trannies, has now specified that this oil not be used in the older trannies, because they have had a number of customers (myself included) with this bad outcome.
With the transmission in the car, the only way to reliably remove the oil is to get under the car and remove the speedometer sensor, then pump out the oil from that opening. I used a Mighty-Vac and back-filled three times with a quart each time of fresh oil. I would only do this if you think they put the new Saab synthetic in there, since it's kind of a pain. And they probably didn't, unless some recent tranny work (in past two years) was done at the dealer. Good luck.
