Alarm Auto-set and Badges

One complex question (probably) and one easy one (I hope)
Easy one: I want to take the 2.3turbo badge and a similar dealer decal off the boot (Trunk) of my 9000s Jreg (91/92 not the new shape).
I did a search but just wanted to double check.
This is just glued on yes? there are no holes or anything? Is the paint (dark blue) likely to look different under the badge where it has been out of UV?
More difficult one: The alarm has no documentation, markings or manual. It also opperates the central locking and works off a small rectangular radio fob with two buttons (a lock/unlock button and a "panic" button) and a slidey switch on the side (which doesnt seem to do anything).
The problem with the alarm is that it automatically engages itself after a seemingly random length of time with the ignition in any postion other than "full on". This is annoying when I leave the car for a few seconds to get something out of the boot or to pay for petrol when the girlfriend is sitting in it. Is there any way I can diasble the auto-set on the alarm, or any other solution?
(the alarm seems to work off little ultrasonic(?) detectors on the widscreen pillars. It looks very well fitted but I dont know if it was an origina Saab item or not, there is nothing in the manual)
Thanks for any help.
G.
