After reading a few posts on newly installed, leaking JT systems and seeing pictures posted with said systems utilizing a clamp design
that has been around for many moons, I decided I should post
a picture of what an installed band-clamp looks like. The clamp in
this picture has been through two new england winters. The system
as a whole has never had a leak since it was installed. Soon, I'll
be swapping this system to another vehicle and will have to dis-
assemble some of the exhaust components. Because the pipes
don't have to be deformed when applying the clamps, there'll be little
effort in taking the system apart (I've done this before on my Chevy
truck - I also put band clamps on that exhaust when I needed a
new muffler). Anyway, there seemed to be some confusion when
I mentioned these clamps before, on previous threads......so, here's
a picture that I think says more than my words on the matter.
