AC Air Flow Question -- Foam In Vent Posted by Joe [Email] (#444) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Joe) on Mon, 1 Jul 2002 12:05:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello All:
Still working to get the R134 A/C on my 91 9KT right. The system pressures are right but the air is still only a little cooler than ambient. I had a blower motor/heater core put in last fall by a good but non-Saab tech. Under the hood on the passenger side when the blower is on there is relatively cool air blowing up and out. It is coming from the space right behind where the receiver-drier sits on top. Is this normal? I also have had quite a bit of foam in bits coming through the main vents for some time so some sort of seal has given way. I'm trying to ascertain which seal this is and whether it is part of my AC problem. Looking at the documents on the Townsend site I'm having a hard time figuring out where there is such a seal that would fail and whether it is part of the problem. Thanks much for any input!
