Hello, The car is a 91 9kt 5-dr. I'm following the Saabmaster write up of the 900 head gasket replacement. I have aligned the exhaust cam gear first. The outer mark is perpendicular with the cylinder head. I'm having trouble aligning the intake cam gear. The intake cam is about 10-15 degrees clockwise to where it should be. So when I put on the intake cam gear there is slack in the timing chain between the cam gears. If I put a wrench on the intake cam and turn it to the proper spot the intake cam gear mark lines up with the cylinder head and the slack in the timing chain disappears.

My thought is to take the cam back off and place it back down with the cam gear slot on the cam in the right spot. Do I have a timing chain that is bunched up? There is plenty of slack in the chain. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
