9000T head job complete but running very rich

I just finished a head job on a 1988 SAAB9000 turbo and am having some trouble diagnosing a very rich mixture. The car has been sitting; engine disassembled for three years and now with almost every part reassembled the car runs really ruff with black smoke coming out of the catalytic converter. The rest of the exhaust rusted off. When I pinch one of the fuel lines on the pressure regulator, the car runs well, but shortly after the engine stalls from fuel starvation. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator thinking that it was defective. That didn’t help. I disconnected the O2 sensor and that didn’t change anything. I checked for resistance through pin 3 and 6 on the air mass meter and get 461 ohms repeatedly. I read that it should be 360 ohms but I don’t know what the limits are. Can anyone give me some helpful information?
