I had seen that one in the handbook, but read it as "Engine electronics diagnostic socket", but now see it says "Engine electronics, diagnostic socket". i.e. two circuit names separated by a comma. I'll give it a go. I trust Saab to design a system that won't blow something expensive if a fuse pops, and I don't intend to switch on the ignition with the fuse removed anyway.
Yes, it's a 4302998 and has VSS, but as far as I know it is not OBDII (UK model) and I only have a single lambda sensor. By "self-learning", I assume you're talking about something different to "adaptive", which I understand all Trionic systems are.
I'll try fuse 23 and if that doesn't work, I'll see where to go from there.
