Sorry about the poor pun in advance.

Can anyone shed any light on my alarm?
It was on the vehicle when I bought it this year. Its a '91 9kS so the alarm could be from any era inbetween now and then.

It seems to be ultrasonic (has two little black boxes on the windscreen pillars facing into the cabin) with no evidence of a motion sensor (tried rocking the car and cant set it off that way.

The remote fob has no markings but is rectangular and black and the main processor is marked "Ranger 2". Internet search turned up nothing can anyone shed any light?

The problem is that it has started going off for no reason. The only thing I can think of is that it is TEMPERATURE related. It has only started happening since the weather got really hot (UK so thats subjective.. but seems damn hot to me 24centigrade in the shade)

Can anyone help me shut it up? It sets itself automatically after a (random) time so I cant leave it off.

Where is a good place to look for the components?

ANY HELP AT ALL greatly appreciated. I hate it when other peoples go off every five seconds so I dont want to be one of them...
