Did you replace the silver trim?

Or just stick it back on like I did with my CD after I got too close to the garage door frame? Reason I ask is that within 24 hours of picking up my CSE the other day, I reversed it rather hard into the corner of a concrete wall. The bumper is fine, but the trim strip is toast. I removed it and can get another from the dealer for £41, but is it possible to fit the new one without removing the bumper? I think I'd have trouble getting the spring clips back in place.
