ETS on non-TCS 9000s? Surely not?

I've just acquired my 5th 9000 and only one of these had ETS (a '90 CD 2.3T with TCS - UK-spec.). My understanding is that the ETS was *only* used on the 9000 as part of the TCS system. The 9-3 and 9-5 with Trionic 7 do have an electronic throttle, as this is an integral part of the T7 system. I'm willing to bet that NG900s didn't have it either, unless some were fitted with TCS. Even the V6 9000s have a different type of TCS (at least the later ones did) which have a second throttle plate in line with the mechanically-operated one to reduce torque output when necessary, so the throttle isn't electronic in these either.
I can't say I noticed any artificial feel to the accelerator on my CD, and was amazed when I found out it was "drive-by-wire". The same with 9-3s and 9-5s that I've driven. However, perhaps some people do feel the difference.
My understanding, backed up with experience, is that only TCS 9000s have ETS.
