Perhaps.. I believe tho that only Base Boost is allowed in 'cruise'
There are two vacuum switches on the pedals, clutch and brake, these control vacuum flow to the cruise (shutting it down when either pedal is depressed)these switches also have on/off electrical functions as well, this controls the APC/base boost function... likely there is a problem with the adjustment or cleanliness of the contacts.. not too hard to clean and readjust.. see the manual for details.
As for 'boost' issues it can be a real easy fix or it can take serious diagnostic efforts to finally find the problem(s).. Good luck.
