I don't know the recall number, but there was a recall on cars in the '91-93 time frame for the SRS.
If the heater core leaks, liquid will drip down and onto the SRS module. The recall installs a cover onto the SRS module. It takes about 5 minutes to do.
Under the terms of the recall, IF there are signs of visible liquid dripping onto the SRS module, the heater core will be replaced at their cost.
Note a couple of things - the heater core leaks start small, so you can get fumes from the vents without getting actual dripping onto the SRS module. However, depending on the dealer, they may replace the heater core even if there isn't visible leakage, if they know the core is leaking (smell).
I Know the recall covers modely year 1992, as I had the recall done on my 1992 9000. The heater core wasn't leaking, so all I got was the cover.
It's pretty simple to know if your car is covered - call the service department of your local Saab dealer, and tell them your VIN. They'll look it up and tell you if the car is covered, or the work has already been done. If the car is covered, bring it in, and ask them if they can replace the leaky heater core under the terms of the recall.
Good luck!
