For the automatic, underneath there is a drain plug, and a removeable filter. The filter has a cover with three bolts. Drain the fluid, and remove the filter. You can replace the filter, or just flush it with some clean fluid. It's just a metal strainer.
Be aware that you only drain about half the fluid out - the rest remains in the Torque converter. So don't refill with the full capacity listed in the manual. Refill with half, and then start and run the engine, to check per normal. Top off as necessary.
If you want to be really effective, drive the car for a week or so, and then drain and refill again. You'll have gone through only as much oil as you planned (the rated capacity), but will have flushed at least 75% of it.
Good luck!
