What is it with the relative lack of headroom in newer cars? My last car was an '87 Audi 4KQ (with a sunroof) and, at 6'1" I had plenty of headroom. With my '97 9KCSE, I have the seat fully lowered and I still have to slide my butt forward somewhat (reducing lumbar support) to keep my head from touching the headliner (legroom is fine). I sat in a newer Audi A4 and I had the same problem. It seems like seats can't be adjusted lower as much as they used to in many cars. It took me months to find a half-way comfortable seating position in the Saab. I find that I have to raise the front of the lower cushion (thus reclining the seat) quite a bit in order to give adequate headroom. I don't think I'm that much taller than average, but how do you taller individuals adjust the seats in this car?
