Ghosts in the Pictogram?

6th day with a '91 9000CDT Auto:
Wastegate actuator connected on 5th day...ahhh that's what the Turbo does.
Occasionally when I 'jump' on it (or wind out a gear) that diagram of the car comes on the dashboard with the rear lights on (temporarily). I have yet to hit the red line of the turbo, so it needs to be tuned.
Have I so much thrust that the car can't feel it's back lights anymore or is there something else going on?
On another note I'm experienceing significant shudder during automatic downshifts (highway passing). The car has 150k miles and the tranny was rebuilt 28k ago. I'm hoping this is engine mounts but shouldn't they have been replaced during the tranny re-build? They did not appear on the tranny shop receipt, so I may have answered my own question (I hope).
Any thoughts?
