So first off I have a '92 9000T and have been trying to troubleshoot some tcs problems and they've partially been resolved, but almost seems connected to this. The history is that the tcs ctrl light has been on for quite awhile without a problem. I had the codes checked awhile back and it said the pedal sensor and the safety check valve. I ended up replacing both after the car started going into limp home pretty regularly over the course of a couple days. that seemed to take care of limp home although by this time the tcs ctrl light stayed on despite the codes being cleared because it said something about an error with the tcs ctrl module and another one about the throttle body.
So this brings me to the problem I'm experiencing now, or at least occassionally. When its hotter out and I'm driving around town the car will start idling really poorly and in general perform really poorly in the lower rpm's. When my rpms get above 2k it starts to respond like normal with the normal measure of power, but below that its gutless and it idles around 6-900 rpms. I checked the engine bay and there are no loose hoses and it seems to reset when I turn the car off.
The other possibly helpful bit of info is that the check engine light has been coming on occassionaly and its got one error saying its sensing that the throttle body is closed and wide open at the same time.
So does anyone have a guess as to whats going on? I'm thinking since both TCS and the ECU are complaining about the throttle body might the sensor need replacing (its manual)? Has anyone ever had a TCS control module go bad? I hope thats a bogus error since they retail at around 1300. Anyway Thanks for the help.
