To really know how much boost you're getting, you need a calibrated boost gauge. What octane gas are you using? This affects boost substantially.
Beyond that, the only way to safely increase boost is to get a reprogrammed chip. Some companies will sell you only a reprogrammed chip for controlling boost, but you would want to get a reprogrammed fuel chip along with it. Otherwise, you end up running lean at high boost, which overheats your engine.
However, I have seen many posts on this BB warning against too much boost with an automatic transmission. Shortens their life. When Saab came out with the Aero, only the standard transmission had 225 hp; the automatic had 200, same as the non-Aero versions.
If you're looking for more performance, you might consider an upgrade that will quicken turbo spool-up, such as a K&N intake filter or a 3" downpipe and high-flow cat. These would be more transmission-friendly upgrades, with only a modest increase in power, but the power comes on more quickly.
