Central locking prob after accident repair

My 97 9K CSE went in to have a new bumper and exhaust pipe fitted, due to accident damage. On the morning it was collected, I had remotely unlocked the car and removed my coat from the back seat using the offside rear door.
The car was repaired and has been returned looking very good.
However the same evening it was returned, when my wife collected me from work, I noticed the same door was locked. The central locking would neither unlock ,nor having been unlocked manually, re-lock the door.
Is there any wire they could have pinched or cut in the repair?
It seems very co-incidental that the problem would happen to occour while in for repair.
We have had no previous problem with the lock, it has always functioned correctly every time. The lock is not even attempting to operate, it is as if it is seeing no power.
Thanks.
