I just the same problem with my 9000 Aero. I removed the APC Solenoid and cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned it. I reinstalled and got less boost than normal than I was before hand. I've been told that when measured with an ohmeter from center to either side on the electrical connector, it should read 350 Ohms. Mine was reading only 3 Ohms, almost a dead short. Appearantly, most fail open. Perhaps that's what would've happened to mine next. I removed the solenoid and applied power to it from an outside source to force switching. When it was supposed to be in the R position, there was a lot of air leaking through the W port. Bottom line, it was not switching properly. So, if you have the means (even using jumpers from the battery to the solenoid) try blowing air through the C port and switching the solenoid. Air should only come out of one port at a time. (not sure if this is correct, but I applied 12VDC to the center and grounded either side to make it switch).
I then installed a new APC Solenoid and bingo, SUPER BOOST.
BTW, didn't have to do an adaptation run.
Hope this helps.
