Saab 9000 CD 2,3 turbo 1991 - 200.000 km - good technical condition

Hy,

let me tell you about my experience yestarday on the german autobahn: driving about 140 kmh suddenly comes the light for TCS ( not unusual), BUT, it was not the normal limp modus i was used to. (hard accelerator...)The car went this time FASTER without accelerating. When I pressed the clutch the rpm went higher and higher up to 6.500 rpm. I had a hard work to drive the car out from the outobahn and I stopped it with smoking brakes!!! After waiting for some minutes I started the car again and the rpm went high again without doing NOTHING!! Well I phoned with my dealer and he answered me: I have never heard about this failure! Then I put out the hose coming from the turbo to look the position from the throttle and the throttle was CLOSED! Also when I started the car!! I searched for an other "air income" and I found nothing unnormal.

The short story: finaly I put out the little hose coming from the TCS Bleeder Valve from the top of the Throtle box and after putting it in again the car started NORMAL. Well after this I drowe some miles to the next dealer and he found the following Codes in the system:

78390
35780
25252
22220

My question: can some one give me please the meaning of this codes?

Well the dealer wanted to sell me a complete new throttle box for about 1.000 EUR / about US$ 1.000 (the one in my car is about 2 years old!!)

I drove back home over 250 km, first very slovly and at the end with normal speed and functions where OK again. Nothing was repaired!!

Conclusion: I think I should starting with the TCS Bleeder Valve and the hoses before thinking about the Throttle Box. Am I right??

Best Regards from Germany
Ricardo
