I still have the box of the Wahler switch I used on my 1992 9000. The sticker on the box says 85-47-572/82, Thermo-Fan-Switch 900. There is a panel on the box that says Type 6010 82.
If memory serves, this is an 82 degree C switch for a Saab 900. I had to crimp on different wiring connectors, but other than that it was an easy swap.
I changed my just over 2 years ago, and have had no problems.
At the same time I changed the thermostat to an 82 degree unit, p/n 8817538.
Changing these two items made my car run noticeably cooler.

Changing these two items made my car run noticably cooler.
