We've discussed using the Prestone flush kit when changing coolant, and I installed one on my car like you had on your '91. What's occurred to me is that the same concept applies, that injecting cold water in an already warm engine might not be good, although the Prestone instructions have no warnings.
I usually warm the car enough to open the thermostat, then drain. After draining I do the flush procedure, drain again, then add coolant and, of course, Bar's Leaks. It's worked quite well this way so far, but maybe it'd be better to let the engine cool before doing the flush operation. Any comments?
