and in older cars, there is a sensor in the seat itself.
So, if the inside car temperature or the seat cushion temperature is high, the heater is turned off no matter what.
Think of it this way, if there is no temperature control to the seat heater, how does the heater turn itself off ? If it can't be turned off, what prevents the heater from frying the seat and your rear end for that matter.
Is there a reason you want the heater to go on when it is hot ?
