As for parts; a re-manufactured or new compressor and clutch(assembly ), filter/drier, o'rings for the expansion valve (must be removed during flush), Refrigerant, ester compressor oil, flushing fluid ( 3 choices, Refridgerant flush, brake cleaner, or last mineral spirts).
Special tools;R-134A service manifold, vacume pump.
Almost special tools; flush gun. A modified home and garden sprayer from the hardware store will work. An accurate thermometer to check operation and fine tune the system. Wrenches the right size to fit the fittings.
Highly recomended almost special tools; An air compressure to blow out the lines just before re-assembly. the sprayer will work, IMHO a compressor is best.
Least worry;Chances are when the compressor blew all the R-12 was lost so no need to recover.
Most important accessory; SAABNET
