1st the easy on. the radio reval tool is available at radio shacck for less than the SAAB tool. Its a standrd item for what is called "DIN" size sterio's
Now the lack of heat. Did you notice the 2 "heater hoses" (black rubber hoses about 1 inch in diameter) connected between the false bulkhead(panel between the engine area and the area under the aqurium cover) and the engine? One of these sends hot water from the engine to what is called the "heater core" (which is just a little radiator). The other hose returns the water to the engine. Let the car warm up, the temperature gauge in the dash should be pointing somewhere around 9 o'clock. Set the temp selector on HI, and the fan on the highest setting. Carefully feel each hose(they are hot!). If they are about the same temperature you probably have a duct problem inside the box containing the blower and heater core. If one hose is way warmer than the other, the heater core is blocked and not letting enough hot water in. If the heater core is blocked you MAY be able to disconnect the hoses and use a garden hose to run water back and forth through it in both directions several times and clean it out.If its a duct problem, WWWEEEELLLLL, You did say someone had recently replaced the blower motor? They may have broken one of the duct doors inside the box, disasembly time of the box to repair...
