If this is the car you are planning on selling, then price may be a consideration. WalMart has a battery that will fit (I believe it's DT-3 or something like that) and is about 2/3 the cost of an Interstate battery. The Interstate battery (which I believe is 34R) is better. The difference in price will not be recouped on resale.
Remove the positive battery cable first and secure it out of the way by stuffing into a crack or using string to tie it. Clean the terminal with baking soda in water to remove the battery crud. Clean the inside of the terminals also before reinstalling. I use a dremel tool on the inside, but sandpaper works well also.
If you get the Walmart battery, put the battery in the tray and loosely install the battery hold down clamp. Shift the battery as far toward the front of the car as you can and then tighten down the clamp. This is necessary because the location of the positive post is a stretch for the positive cable. It will work, though.
