I had a set of H rated Bridgestone Potenza RE92's on my 91 cd turbo for a couple of years. They were fairly smooth on the highway and were soft by my standards over bumps and the like. Wet and light snow traction was also good when they were new. The big problem I had was wear around the outside edges of the tires. Tire pressure and alignment were not the cause of the outer edge wear. My theory was that since the cd model is sprung so softly, there is more body role, which puts a lot of stress on the outside edges of the tires when cornerning.

I really would not consider going below an H rating, and have moved to V rated Kumho 712's in a 205/55/15. I like these tires.

I do have a set of Ultrex tires on our Chrysler minivan which are a T rating. I had never heard of Ultrex before I got these tires (nor have I since), but they were recommended by a client of mine who has a cab company which uses Chrysler minivans. The Ultrex tires are simply great touring tires and, even better, they are cheap. They are smooth over the bumps, stable on the highway and are great in the rain. I don't know if they are sporty since that is not an experience I try to wring from the minivan. I also don't know where you'd find them if you wanted them, other than in my neck of the woods they are distributed by the same people who distribute Cordovan tires.
